Tis the Season!

As I walk the busy streets, I can hear the music sounding from a far. Shoppers moving bristly about their daily chores and window shopping. Across the street, people are busy making TikTok videos to the latest dance challenge.

It’s been a good run. We are in the 12th Month and while many things have happened and are happening I am great ful that I am able to share what has been going on.

Life happens, I am enrolled in school full time plus still working my busy and demanding job all while being a mom and wife. It works in its own chaotic way. School is very challenging I am learning a lot and doing pretty well being a straight A student.

My knowledge and appreciation has grown for scholars, educators and people that want to achieve and do marvelous things. Knowledge is indeed Power. I have learned so much in the few months that I have been in school. My discourse with counterparts are more enriching. I have no time for drama, never did but what I have noticed is that the more you grow the more you learn that people will be people. People Pleasers always finish last and will experience burn out.

Boundaries are important I preach it ever so often as well as practice it. I don’t answer my phone outside of work hours. I don’t respond to any form of work emails etc. I take my leave whenever I see the need and just shut myself away from anything that causes me stress. This has helped me significantly. Last year this time I was so stressed and burned out. Boundaries are good people, set them.

I do get the reminders to share on the blog however my schedule doesn’t allow as much free time as needed. I hope that you’re all doing well and you’ll have a holly jolly Christmas. Spend time with family and friends. If you’re going to be alone this Christmas volunteer at a children’s home visit the zoo, adopt a pet just so that you can take your mind off things.

Hopefully I will return before the year ends if not Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy prosperous New Year.

Xoxo

Being with Family (Blogmas Day 13-15)

Christmas is a time for being with family and friends. You may have moved to a new city for work or other obligations. Airports are full , airlines are booked out; the pandemic is still around but this year people are stepping out getting vaccinated if needs be just to see their loved ones whom they have not seen since the pandemic or longer.

I went on a few errands yesterday and while exiting the local Walmart I saw two teenagers around 14/15 smoking pot or what smelled like pot mixed with something else. It wasn’t the smell of pot or even worst that they were smoking at such a young age it’s the smell of what they mixed the pot with.

The weather wasn’t bad today. I was able to get much needed shopping done. I haven’t started wrapping my gifts as yet. Have you started? How is the Christmas shopping going?

I made my list, I’m checking it twice just so that I haven’t missed anyone. Making a list helps in that regard as well as keeping me on my toes when it comes to budgeting. It’s important to make a list for shopping as well as sticking to your budget. One big plus is if you can browse for coupons and sales before hand so that you can get the best bang for your buck.

I would love if we all went into the new year with our financials in order.

Until next time…

Keep safe.

Blogmas Day 9-12

Ok so this has not worked out as I hoped. The internet service where I’m at is out of pocket. What I’ll do is make the posts and then once service allows I will publish.

Day 9

I moved to a different location. My family is way up north. The weather is what I’d call bipolar. Last night it was so Windy, trees fell into the road, the officers and firefighters were kept busy. Today, it’s Sunny Sunday with no evidence of what happened last night.

Day 10

We went shopping at the store just to pick up a few essentials and lots of bottled water. I’m not liking the water here. I met some of my Dad’s friends and we got a chance to catch up.

Day 11

I saw the most interesting thing in my Dad’s makeshift garden or what’s left of it. A baby squirrel, I’ve never seen one so up close. It moved so fast into the bush I couldn’t get a good picture.

Day 12

We are going sightseeing. I’m hoping to see as many attractions as possible. The last time I was here I didn’t get a chance to do. I will be here for a few weeks.

I hope that you all are okay and having the best time with your family and friends. Christmas is the time for rekindling friendships and spending time with the ones who matters the most. Catch up with you all on Day 13.

Until next time
