Be Passionate

What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

Passion brings excitement and happiness. Who doesn’t love a man/woman whose passionate about them. When you’re passionate about something or someone you’ll do everything in your power to ensure that you do right by it always. You pay keen attention, you learn from the mistakes and choices made. When you’re truly passionate you live out loud. It’s not just living in the moment it’s the excitement that you look forward to. When you’re passionate about your job, you will never work a day in your life. True passion gives joy, meaning to your existence. Relationships filled with passion last longer than others, all you’re concerned about is maintaining that intimate connection you have with your person. Always be passionate, find what makes you tick, live out loud and just be authentically you. Are you passionate?

Under my Almond Tree

Sometimes the only thing you can do is sit still. I often just find myself sitting on a chair under the big almond tree in the back yard. I haven’t been out here in awhile. I created this corner so that whenever I feel lonely, trapped and or uncertain of my next move I’d just sit under the tree and some how a solution would find its way into my thoughts.

Nature does that for me. It soothes and calms my nerves. I’m not one to easily give up but lately I feel that it doesn’t matter what you do something will not be okay for some people. I need to just relax take things as they come, breathe and move on.

I am not perfect, I make tons of mistakes but in making my mistakes I truly see them as experiences. Everyday I am reminded that people are people. That phrase can be interpreted in so many ways. People are people and it doesn’t matter who you are, social status, sex, orientation etc.

Today was hectic, I still managed to get much work done. Thankfully I was alone in the office. Again being alone helps, I can hear my thoughts and I can focus more, they’re limited distractions.

So my almond tree corner in my back yard. I poured a glass of 🍷 and this is what true peace is. Being still and being one with nature. The problems will sort themselves out.

Get out of your Comfort Zone

Hello Friends,

Mandatory Work from Home is over and we are all back at work. That’s just one of the many things that has been happening since I last touch base with you guys.

I also have some good news that I would like to share. I am back at school. I haven’t been back in the classroom since I completed my first degree some 12 years ago. It’s fully online and has a flexible arrangement that caters to busy work moms like myself. I’ve complted one class since module 1 started. They’re six (6) modules. The class sessions have been engaging and I am learning so much that will help me with my work.

It has been almost two (2) years since I’ve been home. This mandate of going back to the office will have me doing a complete mind change and adjustment. The morning traffic, arranging activities for my son and everything else. Personally I feel I get much more work done when I am home and I am given a more flexi work arrangement.

Covid-19 is still around everyday there is a new update from the CDC. We still have to be very careful because a cure has not yet been found. Are you guys seeing what’s happening in the world right now, the war between Russia and UkraineRussia Ukraine Updates. I have been reading the blogs, watching the tweets and seeing the news and its horrifying. My heart goes out to all those who are affected by it.

In life you will have time when your comfort zone is disrupted however, it is for us to regroup and refocus. Change is not always a bad thing. Figure out what works and make things happen for you. Take charge of the situation if you can, instead of sitting and complaining make something of it. I may have to readjust my work schedule but I am looking on the bright side – I can focus on keeping a more active life. Going back to work full time allows me create new opportunies. Keeping a positive mindset and eventually positive outcomes will happen.

Have you life ever been disrupted because of a situation? How did you handle it?

Share with me in the comments.

Until next post….

Happy Birthday 🎉 – I signed up for Spanish and French Lessons-

Hello friends,

2022 is off to a great start. My word for this year is Intentional.

Intentional– according to Google -adjective – done on purpose; deliberate.

This year I want to be Intentional with everything that I want. I am going to be intentional with my job, family, my relationships and overall my goals.

I often see people sharing the amazing things they have achieved while managing their chaotic lives and frankly that’s something I’ve always admired and wanted for myself. They’ve motivated me to be my best self. I am my biggest motivator and competitor if I want it I can achieve it.

The last time I did French, was in the 8th grade, many moons ago and well Spanish was a fave of mine ,I did it up to first year of College. Last year, someone I followed on twitter , shared how they were able to learn a new language on the app Babbel and Duolingo . Both apps are available on the App and Playstore, they’re free with option to get more if you purchase plans. They’re offering crazy discounts if you sign up for a year plan. I’ve done both and so far so good and I am learning a new language.

Yesterday was my birthday 🥳 🎉🎈🎊. Every year as a gift to myself I purchase something or giveaway something special. This year I kind of went ham and got myself a new IPhone. Yep! Kind of crazy I know. I still love Android of course I still have my Samsung 6S Lite. That’s my baby ☺️. I have been ignoring the itch of getting the new IPad 9 even when Apple and all those sites kept on sending me the discount codes. I have decided that I will not be making anymore purchases for now.

They’re other goals that I would love to achieve in 2022 and beyond and managing my finances will help me to realize those dreams.

I’m excited to learn both French and Spanish. Join me on this journey. Let’s be friends and challenge each other on the respective platforms. Both offers beginner to advance levels and you can schedule your lessons depending on your daily routine. I do 10 and 15 minute sessions and I love that the app also offers practice and live sessions so that I can interact with people who are pretty much beginners.

Happy New Year 🎊

Being with Family (Blogmas Day 13-15)

Christmas is a time for being with family and friends. You may have moved to a new city for work or other obligations. Airports are full , airlines are booked out; the pandemic is still around but this year people are stepping out getting vaccinated if needs be just to see their loved ones whom they have not seen since the pandemic or longer.

I went on a few errands yesterday and while exiting the local Walmart I saw two teenagers around 14/15 smoking pot or what smelled like pot mixed with something else. It wasn’t the smell of pot or even worst that they were smoking at such a young age it’s the smell of what they mixed the pot with.

The weather wasn’t bad today. I was able to get much needed shopping done. I haven’t started wrapping my gifts as yet. Have you started? How is the Christmas shopping going?

I made my list, I’m checking it twice just so that I haven’t missed anyone. Making a list helps in that regard as well as keeping me on my toes when it comes to budgeting. It’s important to make a list for shopping as well as sticking to your budget. One big plus is if you can browse for coupons and sales before hand so that you can get the best bang for your buck.

I would love if we all went into the new year with our financials in order.

Until next time…

Keep safe.

Blogmas Day 9-12

Ok so this has not worked out as I hoped. The internet service where I’m at is out of pocket. What I’ll do is make the posts and then once service allows I will publish.

Day 9

I moved to a different location. My family is way up north. The weather is what I’d call bipolar. Last night it was so Windy, trees fell into the road, the officers and firefighters were kept busy. Today, it’s Sunny Sunday with no evidence of what happened last night.

Day 10

We went shopping at the store just to pick up a few essentials and lots of bottled water. I’m not liking the water here. I met some of my Dad’s friends and we got a chance to catch up.

Day 11

I saw the most interesting thing in my Dad’s makeshift garden or what’s left of it. A baby squirrel, I’ve never seen one so up close. It moved so fast into the bush I couldn’t get a good picture.

Day 12

We are going sightseeing. I’m hoping to see as many attractions as possible. The last time I was here I didn’t get a chance to do. I will be here for a few weeks.

I hope that you all are okay and having the best time with your family and friends. Christmas is the time for rekindling friendships and spending time with the ones who matters the most. Catch up with you all on Day 13.

Until next time
